Fair Flowers: Event in the European Parliament

Last Tuesday, SOLIDAR organised an event in the European Parliament in support of the Fair flowers campaign, carried out by member Volkshilfe Österreich and other partners FIAN Germany, Belgium and Netwerk Bewust Verbruiken. The aim of the day was to gather MEP signatories for a petition in support of decent working conditions for workers on flower farms in developing countries. The event was a big success with over 300 signatures collected in under 4 hours and over 30 MEPs joined the campaign. Read main demands of the campaign...
