Decent work and the Millennium Development Goals: A promising partnership (Arabic)

This report looks at the implementation of the International Labour Organisation’s Decent Work Agenda and how it can contribute to achieving all the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It shows that some developing governments such as Kenya and Jordan have made a first step towards change by putting in place decent work country programmes. However although positive steps are being made, what the case studies in this report highlight is that national commitments are not enough if global commitments do not follow.
