Registration in OPEN
1st of July was the announced date for the beginning of the Israeli plan to annex more than 30% of the occupied West Bank. In face of this, SOLIDAR members active in the region reacted and adopted together a Resolution on Palestine on 24 June 2020, which, in respect of International Laws and United Nations resolutions, calls on the European Union and its Members States to recognise the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as the shared capital of the two states.
Ahead of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and believing in the need for joining forces, SOLIDAR members involved in the SOLIDAR MENA working group and Palestine Task Force are collectively organising an Online Conference for the Recognition of the State of Palestine.
During the event, a session will be dedicated to the Swedish experience in recognising the State of Palestine; it will also offer the space to hear voices from the field, while highlighting why the recognition of the state of Palestine is essential, too, from a labour rights perspective.
WHEN? Thursday 26th of November, 2020
TIME? From 11:30 am to 13:30 pm (Brussels time)
WHERE? Online. Broadcasted on SOLIDAR and SOLIDAR members Facebook Page.
