Every year for the last 15 years, for 5 days in Évreux (France), the International Educational Film Festival hosted by our member CEMÉA France has offered a wide choice of films, short, medium, feature films, fictions, animations, documentaries.
What is meant by "Educational" films?
The films offered address the major issues of education, childhood and youth, cultural or intergenerational issues, and the fight against all forms of discrimination, through stories and paths of life of children, young people and adults.
In the framework of the Festival, SOLIDAR Foundation is organising a debate with its membership on organising solidarity for social inclusion at times of fast-paced systemic changes.
The event will happen online, on 24 November, from 16:30 to 18:00 CET.
What is the format of the event?
On the basis of the short movies presented at the CEMÉA Film Festival Archipel and Plaqué or, a panel of SOLIDAR and SOLIDAR membership leadership will engage participants in a reflection on the inequalities unveiled by the pandemic and how CSOs can address at best the multidimensional fragility of our societies.
Tackling social injustice is core to the paradigm shift that the SOLIDAR network advocates for to achieve sustainable societies. The event will be an opportunity to reflect on the interconnectedness of inequalities at the local and global level, and to discuss how to best tackle them.
Registered participants will have access to the aforementioned movies ahead of the event.
The final agenda and the technical information to access the virtual room will be circulated in due time.
