Former SOLIDAR Board Member and friend Nils Rohne has passed away

It is with great sadness that we receive the news that Nils Rhone, a dear friend and comrade in many initiatives, has passed away on 10 January 2022. Nils represented Norwegian People Aid (NPA) on the Board of Solidar and was one of the main promoters of the international area of Solidar, putting his and NPA's great experience at the disposal of our network. We cannot fail to mention the great work done in South-east Asia following the Tsunami of 2004, his commitment in Africa, Palestine and the Andean regions of America. Nils knew how to combine commitment and professionalism with smile, friendship, banter and song. How many times we ended a lunch or dinner by asking him for a traditional song from his homeland. Thank you,Nils, for passing on to us the value of friendship and solidarity. We join in the grief of your family and NPA, to whom we express our deepest condolences.
