Last week SOLIDAR Foundation attended the second meeting of the Innovative Inclusion Committee in the framework of the project ‘INCLUS: integration of young migrants and refugees into the labour market in Europe’, held in Bucharest

Funded under the Erasmus + programme, the project aims to support youth associations to better understand the obstacles to inclusion in society and to integration in the labour market of young migrants and refugee as well as to empower directly young migrants and refugees to take part in youth associations through the use of non-formal and informal learning methods and training tools. One of the main innovative aspects of the project is the cross-sectoral supporting structure called the ‘Innovative Inclusive Committee’ composed of representatives of youth associations, trade-unions, employment services, policy makers, EU policy experts and young migrants and refugees. Members of the project are FIC and FIC youth (Denmark), 3F København (Denmark), Ofensiva Tinerilor (Romania), Geocopol (Romania), Dev-Aid (Albania) and the SOLIDAR Foundation.

During the meeting in Bucharest the members of the Innovative Inclusion Committee discussed the preparation of two reports analysing the push effect of youth unemployment, social and economic conditions for young people in Albania and Romania and a report about the conditions of young immigrants in Denmark. The reports will include interviews and testimonies of young migrants and refugees and are expected to be published in June 2017.
