Japhet Moyo, Silver Rose 2020 winner, warns on Zimbabwean authorities using Covid19 to justify abuses on citizens

Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions´ Secretary General Japhet Moyo, one of our Silver Rose 2020 awardees, said authorities in his native Zimbabwe "were using Covid-19 to smokescreen their high-handed abuses on citizens".

“The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union notes with concern that the government is using the outbreak of Covid-19 as scapegoat to arrest journalists going about their business and this should stop.” Moyo also added, in a recently released news article in local press.
