Just4all Starts Collecting 50 Good Practices on Adult Education and Just Transition

Just4All, a project to bridge Adult Education and Just Transition will start collecting a series of 50 good practices on these topics. The collection is one of three research and training activities which also include developing four research papers and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

Just4All, an EU-funded project seeks to raise awareness on the impacts of climate change and green transition plans on women, adults with low level of formal qualifications, and migrants in Europe. It explores ways to improve their rights and to enable a socially just transition through education. In addition to collecting good practices, the project will review EU Just Transition policies, regulations, and programmes, and develop a range of resources and learning tools for educators, civil society organisations and the wider public.

The 40 good practices will be collated in the project’s four focus countries: Cyprus, France, Ireland, and Sweden. Another ten will have a regional dimension and will be disseminated at EU level. Practices will include advocacy activities, education curricula, educational tools, educational methodology, as well as initiatives that raise awareness on just transition, inclusive of the project´s target groups.

Coordinated by the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE), a member of the consortium implementing the project, the collection of good practices will be conducted between March and May this year. Findings will inform stakeholders and EU policymakers, and foster more inclusive Just Transition policies, in line with the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR).

Just4All, a two-year programme supported by the EU, was launched in November last year. Led by SOLIDAR, the consortium also includes the European Association for Adult Education (EAEA), the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE), Arbetarnas bildningsförbund (ABF), Ireland’s National Adult Learning Organisation (AONTAS), the Center for the Advancement of Research & Development in Educational Technology (CARDET), and Ligue de l’Enseignement.
