embedding social justice in adult learning and policy: Just4all toolkit and roadmap
How can adult learning and education contribute to achieving a just transition for all?
The Just4All project wrapped up in September with the final policy roundtable, ‘Building Bridges for a Just Transition: Adult Learning at the Heart of Europe’s Green and Social Future.’ The project brought together partners based in Ireland, Cyprus, Sweden, France and at EU level to explore the potential of adult learning and education to contribute to a just transition for all. The final conference was attended by project partners as well as policy-makers and civil society at EU level. We had the opportunity to discuss the findings of the project, and also to officially launch a roadmap and toolkit which were created as part of the project.
The Just4All interactive roadmap puts forward policy recommendations on how adult learning and education can be used to advance a just transition. It is informed by the findings of the project, including the national-level background papers. It is targeted at policy-makers, civil society and educators to offer concrete solutions to integrating adult education and learning in policies which aim to advance the green and digital transitions.
The roadmap forms part of the ‘Toolkit to embed social just in adult learning and policy.’ This toolkit compiles findings from the national background papers, good practices elaborated within the Just4All project, feedback from interactive courses run as part of the project and more. It offers a comprehensive set of resources and practical methods to civil society and educators seeking to use adult learning and education to contribute to a just transition for all.
