December 2 @ 9:30 am - December 3 @ 9:30 pm

The SOLIDAR Days are back! The SOLIDAR Days are a moment for SOLIDAR’s members, partners and the wider network come together for events, strategy meetings, panels, and networking opportunities concluding with our annual Silver Rose Awards Ceremony. The SOLIDAR Days will take place between Tuesday 2 December and Wednesday 3 December.
This year, we take stock of a shifting global order, where authoritarianism and regressive policies spread across Europe and globally. In this context, the need to build alliances among progressive forces is stronger than ever. The SOLIDAR Days have an important role to foster a meaningful space of exchange, development, and movement-building to strengthen our membership and the progressive movement at large.
There are several public events taking place within the framework of the SOLIDAR Days.

Equal futures: Advancing global citizenship education for all learners
Tuesday 2 December, 14:00-16:30
European Parliament
This year’s Global Citizenship Education Conference will focus on the accessibility of global citizenship education (GCE) in Europe. By encouraging a sense of belonging and responsibility within communities, and by making it accessible to all learners regardless of age and backgrounds, GCE has the potential to contribute to inclusion and solidarity. The EU has a key role to play in implementing GCE through its competence in educational policy, both in order to tackle the challenges to our democracies and to foster a more engaged and active population. At this edition of the Global Citizenship Education Conference, we hope to bring together allies from civil society, policymakers and progressive political voices to discuss how we can make this vision a reality.

Wednesday 3 December, 14:00-16:00
Mundo Matongé
We launch this expert paper at a time when migrant workers still face barriers to fair and just working conditions in Europe. As the European Commission is revising the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) Action Plan and developing a new Quality Jobs Roadmap, the need to close the rights protection and justice gap for all migrant workers has never been more urgent. We need civil society, trade unions and political allies on board in order to end unequal treatment of migrant workers and secure fair working conditions for all.
